Ashley’s Senior Portraits

Ashley and her mom Kara were looking for senior portraits that would wow her fellow classmates when flipping through the yearbook. They knew having them done the same way as all of the other seniors wasn’t going to work, so they contacted us at King Street Studios in search of shaking things up a bit, and we were able to accomplish just that.

We met up with Ashley and her mom downtown in search of capturing the perfect senior portraits. In order to make the outfits Ashley had brought along with her really pop, we used a variety of textured walls, some covered in ivy, and dramatic looking gates; then came the real fun.

Ashley had brought this long, red gown she wanted to wear while using Charleston’s famous Pineapple Park as a backdrop, and she wasn’t afraid to step out of her comfort zone to acquire that perfect shot. With a little help from mom, Ashley proceeded to climb up onto the fountain and into the water. With the sun having already set, and the lights in the fountain reflecting off of the water, we were able to finish the night off with some of the best shots of the session.

Here at King Street Studios, we encourage our clients to share any ideas they have for a portrait. It leaves them with a sense of contribution and not just the feeling of having their picture taken. Providing our clients with memories that last a lifetime is what we strive for with every shoot, and if our clients are a contributing factor in the decision making, that’s just the cherry on top of another perfect shoot.
