Meet Carrye and Michael. This wonderful engaged couple was looking for a great Charleston photographer to shoot their engagement photos, and they came to the right studio. Referring back to the many shoots of ours they reviewed throughout their research, they said they chose King Street Studios because they loved our composition and creativity to capture a variety of shots. These are the things we strive for here at King Street Studios. Leaving customers with such a great sense of enjoyment from our photos gives us such a great feeling of accomplishment at the end of the day.
Throughout the whole photoshoot Carrye and Michael’s true characters were on display. They were nothing but smiles, joking around with each other, with Todd, and with the King Street Studios assistants who were there. By being so outgoing, Todd was able to capture shots of the engaged couple with very little direction. This resulted in more natural, candid looking shots.
As you can see from the slideshow above, Carrye and Michael were in for a long day of photography. They came to us wanting shots at three different locations: the historic downtown Charleston, Hampton Park, and Sullivan’s island. As with all of our customers, we told them about the potential problems shooting the beach shots first poses for photography, so we all agreed to getting those last. While downtown, the neutral tones of their clothing allowed Todd to put them in front of a variety of different textures and colors. As we got to Hampton park, Carrye and Michael changed their outfits that represented a more relaxed feeling for a perfect afternoon in the park. As time began running out, we packed up and went over to the beach just in time to capture stunning sunset portraits. The many shades of red, orange, and blue gave the shots a dreamlike feeling about them. It was the perfect way to end such a beautiful photoshoot.
